Devashish Gaur (b.1996) is a photographer based in New Delhi. He has been photographing his hometown Delhi, one of the world’s most crowded cities—its shrinking natural environment, concrete architecture and domestic life. He also uses family photographs in his practice to explore ideas of home and identity. In 2021, Gaur was the recipient of the Vantage Point Award, Sharjah for his project, This is the Closest We Will Get, which was exhibited by the Sharjah Art Foundation. His series, Where Have You Been Lately was included in the Photo Vogue Festival, Giardini Di Porta Venezia, Milan (2019).
